Lynn 0
I have a 3 year old male Arabian saluki. Have had him since end of October last year. We got him and a female age 5 as we have a 4 year old saluki greyhound Cross and wanted company for her. They all get on great in garden together. The problem is the male is extremely aggressive towards any dog and people. We have had a dog behaviourist was no good. Have had him in dog boot camp for a month. He will sit and stay and recallinthe garden. But if he sees any one or dog go by through the window or garden is extremely aggressive. Uncontrollable have no way of quieting him down can not take him for a walk as he has escaped from what ever collar and harness have tried mussels which stay on for seconds. He is a lovely dog in the house. He has destroyed his kennel chewed the pen and bed to shreds only left for an hour at a time. Just don't know what to do with him. We have also been to vets. He had female homes too see if this would calm him down. Nothing has worked. Can any one help have spent a lot of time and money.

mushroom 14,081
Ok here's how you fix a nob head saluki..... Electrocuted the fuuck out of it. The more it's balls get frazzled, the less they want some. Unfortunately salukis being the super duper cnuts that they are need to wired to the mains. A shock collar just won't cut it. Another trick I've learned of recently off a very good dog trainer friend of mine here, Scrappy Ran Tan Plan Hitler. Involves wiring a small explosive devise to an electric detonator that can be set off with a remote. Attatch the device to the dogs testicles or anus (I do it around the tail at the base). Let it run free as soon as it starts to get aggressive blow it's balls off/arse out. Totally distracts them from the aggressive state Edited February 19, 2019 by mushroom

Some dogs are just too much for your average dog owner, and even some dog behaviourists, and it sounds like this is probably one of those cases. 6 minutes ago, riohog said: keep it simple piece of lead just under the ear , no more problems Agree. Sounds like far too much of a problem to persevere with. Dogs are meant to be a pleasure, not a burden.
Lynn 0
Thanks for reply I am just continuing the trading in garden and driveway on choker chain. I do not feel that I will ever be able to take him out among other dogs. He is great with saluki /greyhound Cross in garden but savage if he sees a dog near the gate. Welcome any ideas of help. Gilbey 1,497
a dog can't get out of a properly fitted lead. Guessing its the two that were for sale in Scotland, how did the previous owners exercise them. we had one that was a tit with other dogs, at the time there wasn't many dogs around us so it wasn't that bad, coincidently he didn't like being left lol

Caravan Monster 323
+1 for Jim Greenwood, he might be able to give a new perspective on the problem, just don't expect him to instantly fix it. Sounds like a lot of work.

Have got that sorted. The male is a powerful dog and jumps up to 6ft high to get out of whatever collar he has on. I am being authortive with him. Giving him rewards when doing as he is told.
