On This Day.

Recommended Posts

On this day July 10, 1951 Randolph Turpin shocked the sporting world when he beat Sugar Ray Robinson for the middleweight crown. Robinson hadn't been beat for 8 years and was a big favourite. The Leamington Licker caused one of the biggest sporting upsets of all time.

I think an on this day thread is needed on here, nice to look back on history be it sporting events or anything of interest. ?
