Was in quebec yesterday Ted, hiked a trail, there was warning signs posted as a black bear had approached people 3 times in the last week, I saw nothing except turkey vultures and chipmunks sadly.

Insulated the sides

boarded it all out. Got a drop down window fitted. Hopefully its mouse proof.

getting it in the field tomorrow 

two evenings work. Cost 25 dollars as i used scrap from work

Cracking thread Ted .Ive been lucky enough to see all but the moose in my trips to Canada and the States .one day maybe I’ll return with a rifle .

Got the hutch in the field 

ok it stands out a tad but give it a few weeks and it will blend in nicely with the snow

Fair play Ted that will be spot on those minus 25 days when it blowing a gale 👍I took my boys and there mate out camping / quaking a couple of weeks ago to the area we usually hunt. Seen a few deer and moose sign about but more bear than anything and much more than I have seen in the area before, hopefully doesnt effect the deer and moose numbers to much....

went down last to start baiting.

threw down a bag of peas and some old freezer burnt veg/fruit/cakes also.

changed out both cards which have been since around end of june time ish.

the cam where i put the above hunting hutch,that card was corrupted,so no pics

but the other card.........

finished work midday yesterday so ripped down to bang don bait and check cams

looks like the same herd of elk are frequenting both baits

hardly any deer but the crops are still standing in the fields

pigs back and in daylight on thursday evening......might be worth a trip down over the weekend
