ChrisJones 7,975
I always wonder what the extended family, friends and neighbours thought about things Like this! Where were they? What were they doing for that child? Gabriel complained to his teacher when the abuse started. She contacted child services repeatedly and they failed to act. Friends, family and neighbours all complained too. He was raised by his grandparents for most of his life but the mother 'kidnapped' him back and was allowed to remain his legal carer. It seems she went to great lengths to dissolve all contact with family and friends. There's a massive investigation into child protection services currently underway. Four social workers that were handling Gabriel's case have been canned and are under criminal investigation for child abuse and falsifying records. One of them is a former nun, another an elder at the local church. One has actually been reinstated after appeal and is back on his 166k a year until the results of the investigation are known. Local sheriffs department is under scrutiny for allegedly not removing him from the home. The only witnesses were Gabriel's siblings and they're little kids too. There are records of child abuse investigations dating back 10 years against that family.

ChrisJones 7,975
Look at the kids abused under Rochdale and Rotherham's watch... They only point at the muslims though. Travesty.

I hope the judge throws the fecking book at them if found guilty, from a quick Google the top sentence for felony child abuse in the most serious cases can be up to 99 years and they deserve nothing less than the full whack IMO. If ever there was a case where an example should be set to others...
Welsh_red 4,831
Years ago when talking to my brother about serial killers or something horrible and grim like that I remember saying " I can't get my head around how anybody could stab someone repeatedly with a knife while their wailing in fear/agony and then chopping up a corpse" or words to that effect . He told me "you'll never understand , your brain and their brain is wholey different " On that thought I still can't understand why a care organisation worker . When given a case of a young child being abused and being put through undue pain doesn't have something inside of them that says " im not letting them anywhere near this child or any child again . Im going to do everything in my power to save this kid . Getting put into care may be crap but it's better than this." And for 1 person to deviate from this trail of thought is incredible to me but for their to be a chain of people all doing fuckall will forever be a side of humanity I don't want to contemplate . Anything involving kids I don't read to much into because it's dark as f**k and I dont need details of it in my life . I got 2 kids and just can't understand some people . The people doing it or the people ignoring it and sweeping it under the carpet . Where's the bloody humanity in some people

Where's the bloody humanity in some people That's where we're at though, isn't it? In all of these huge abuse cases, multiple amounts of people f*cked up. I don't think they're all in it maliciously but some absolutely. Saving their own skins takes priority and for that, you can blame lawyers. In an age when no one wants to admit responsibility for fear of litigation, you can see why they would go to great lengths to cover this up or deflect attention to something else. It's very very wrong but I see why they do it.

But surely they have a option before it gets that far in just doing their job properly
ChrisJones 7,975
But surely they have a option before it gets that far in just doing their job properly Agreed but how many people have you worked with in your career that expends more effort avoiding work than actually doing it? I 'work' with a guy that has his iPhone surgically attached to his hand. I'm sure he can't be in the minority. Double down with the local authority and I can see a disturbing trend of incompetence. It's everywhere . Im a builder and younger kids always on phones. Older generations love chatting and cups of tea for hours . But I'd like to think if lives were on the line those phones would be thrown at walls and conversations cut short to get the job done. But maybe being involved in that type of jobs makes them kind of numb to the horrible side
