Food Trucks

Recommended Posts

I'm guessing it's pretty big in the uk now, but food truck events here have really took off in recent years......fast becoming our favourite way to eat out....

This wkend was my local little towns second food truck festival. What a fcuking great way to spend the afternoon with the family! Numerous different types of cuisine, such as thai food, Nepalese, Mexican, sea food, spanish tapas, the usual burgers etc & fish/chips done by a dutch food truck, that rivals anything I've had in England......;-)

.....plus drinks & live music....What's not to like??

Are you experiencing this? If so.....what's your favourite food at such events?

That sounds brilliant mate, Galway had a few when I was there in the summer but I can't say as it's a thing I have heard much about.

As you say, seems like a great way to spend an afternoon.

I suppose it's been around a while now, but seems to of really took off here through the summer months........A perfect way to eat a bit of this & that for the same money as sitting down in a half decent restaurant.....:-)

Have loads at Royal Cornwall Show and other shows/events. Mostly overpriced poor quality fast food, selling the promise.

Cheers, D.

Yeah I've experienced that type of thing, not great. Had some cracking food today for an average of £6 a go......mussels, calamari, thai chicken salad etc etc....;-)

....& it's great to share dishes with the kids :-)

Got something similar here.., just minus the wheels. We call them restaurants They sound like a good idea for taking food out into the sticks though, where options to eat out are maybe a bit more limited.

Plenty of restaurants in our square mate ;-) It's a fun, once a year event.....

Plus the biggest food truck festivals are in the cities........a great way to open air eat & drink ;-)

The taco truck is massive this end. Good, bad, and ugly, and everything in between.

F*ck! Now I'm hungry... Nearest one is 40 miles away so I'm just going to have eat something else and watch Chef

Thats not the nearest place to eat, full stop, is it chris? 40miles away?

No, there's a diner about 20 miles in the other direction. I posted that at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. Eating out would probably be 60 mile round trip as a minimum.

I was going to do a thread on eating out, I guess you wouldn't of contributed much? Haha...
