About 6 month mate it's easy enough if there willing ain't it just passes abit of time done very little dummy work with her to be honest.

mine retrieves tennis balls, bottles, socks but haven't tried him on fur or feather yet,i shoved a tennis ball down a rugby sock and gave him 10 retrieves in the garden earlier, everyone went in my hand so i'm confident with it.

a lurcher that don't retrieve is a big no no as far as i'm concerned.

Cheers folks GB I've another dog here no matter what it catches will stand over it looking for the next one sometimes brings them back but not usually this dog was flawless with dummies and shot stuff.

Thanks socks can't see the vid for some reason tho mate

That terrier will do ok I expect just get it out and about plenty had lurchers that would sometimes even mark birds in trees and retrieve geese from lakes ?? Atb

Great craic C.Green....keep it up...

it is beneficial (and relatively easy) to encourage dogs to enjoy the water during the hot Summer months,...

I try to get my wee Cur into the sea most evenings,...the ground is baked hard and invariably produced injuries, whereas the swimming provides that much-needed exercise and stimulation a Collie cross needs, without risking busted toes, etc....For those who own non-swimmers, the secret to getting a reluctant paddler into the deep is to put a leader on him and gently wade out yourself. He has no choice but to follow you...and if you are gentle with him and take things easy,...slowly but surely, it will come...

I've only got a handful of local contracts for the rabbit jobs,...I'm mostly a Mole Trapper these days...
