Brill that you done better than me lol , both my dogs are not keen on water , they will only go in if there feet are on the bottom feckin wimps , i think its Bryn the prob as he dont like water and dogs pick fear up etc , so prob that what happened to Buck copying Bryn, i think if it had been different dog and liked water Buck would have followed . Phil Lloyd 10,739
Great craic C.Green....keep it up... it is beneficial (and relatively easy) to encourage dogs to enjoy the water during the hot Summer months,... I try to get my wee Cur into the sea most evenings,...the ground is baked hard and invariably produced injuries, whereas the swimming provides that much-needed exercise and stimulation a Collie cross needs, without risking busted toes, etc....For those who own non-swimmers, the secret to getting a reluctant paddler into the deep is to put a leader on him and gently wade out yourself. He has no choice but to follow you...and if you are gentle with him and take things easy,...slowly but surely, it will come... Edited July 17, 2017 by Phil Lloyd 4 Quote Link to post
