Chit Chat

Yep. Went out this evening to all three permissions that are in close proximity to each other. No more than 50 yards then a 2 minute drive. Did more time damn chatting than shooting but it's all browny points perhaps. The first field proved a decent call. Bumped into the land owners neighbor when I arrived picking his fat chickens eggs from the pen, 30 mins talking about his magpie problem. Anyway, got in the field. Managed the two, only saw three, two shown here. Both bang on me zero range. Second one just dropped, no twitches or nothing. Then nipped over the road to the estate, chatted to the gardener for something like 40 mins and then dropped this young sqizzer. Wouldn't of actually shot it to be honest, it's only a teenager but had the beady eyes of the land manager on me, who'd just pulled up in her jaaaaaag darling, so took the shot having been told they need to be gone. Shame. Then buggered off to another near by place, just had a walk round, got a couple of woodies but me phone had packed in by then.

Roll on the winter again. Don't see many people around then. More shooting. Less gasin' :)
