Mcdonalds Advert

Recommended Posts

You probaly seen the new advert with the kid who's lost his dad and his mums taking him to McDonald's and there talking about his dead dad.

personally i thought it was an ok ad. Just watched this stupid women on good morning condeming it and banging on about kids need to talk to a councellor if they lose a parent (yea shes one ) . McDonald's should be ashamed blah blah blah.

Then that c**t pearce morgan goes on a rant as usual. Its cynical using a kid whos lost his dad to sell burgers.

really pearce! How about hacking a murdered kids phone to sell papers ya prick! Now thats not just cynical but downright f***ing low as you can get!

Rant over lol really shouldn't watch anything pearce morgan is on he boils my piss haha

I don't reckon he was dead anyway. Probably just left them because he was fed up with the kid asking questions all day and not being able to kick a football.

And having a kid that looks nowt like him ! Should go on Jeremy Kyle for a DNA....

I have a mixed view personally, now while I have always been of the mind that the world is full of over sensitive pricks I think on this particular subject Morgan has a point (and I f***ing hate the c**t!!)

My old man died when I was 11 but I was brought up that you have to have broad shoulders, take the pain and move along.......plus I don't think "counsellors" had been invented then ! Lol

Even if they had, I wouldn't have wanted one.....you have to be a man about things.

However, it is a VERY lonely experience for a kid and it takes a long time to make sense of things.......I'd worry that any kid watching this ad who has been through this type of thing would just feel another kick in the guts.

To potentially cause a child some pain (however brief) by bringing up those thoughts and feeling again in order to sell a f***ing Big Mac is shit imho.

I don't like to see social messages in adverts, they're about selling a product which is fine but they should stick to clowns. Of course this has probably had the desired effect which is to make people talk about the advert and watch it, cunning PR companies. It reminds me of those BT adverts telling a story of the divorced mum, useless ex and cool new step dad full of very obvious messages some of which are quite harmful.
