Mate, smack bang in middle of a field, doesnt look like Robin territory to me.

 

Robins will nest any were they can fit, had some in a holed nestbox last year, get a pic of the adult, and it's hard to say what the habitat is with just a brown pic of the nest.

Ye i know mate, found loads of Robins nests over the years but don't think this is one for a minute. Ye, its hard to tell cos of the poor photo. Habitat was a queer one, field that has been sprayed and spread muck on on a farm smack bang in middle of moorland.

That explains the brown, it's the brown that makes ID even harder, normally I have an idea, but I'm at a loss with this one, you'll have to go back and snap a pic of the the adults. Tiercel normally has an idea, but I think he's lost too.

There's a bird what nests in fields,when it's disturbed it folds the top of nest over to hide it,can't remember the name of the bird but I'm sure it's some sort over plover,that nest looks like one of them
