Edited to say it still is a county according to Wikipedia only the city of London which is classed as a county is smaller well I never new that. riohog 5,939 Posted January 21, 2017 Report Share Posted January 21, 2017 Anybody live near on know anything about this place ?.....the mrs used to visit family there as a kid and been on about going back there so booked a hotel for a few days she reckons i,ll love the scenery round there but i dont fancy wandering into the back arse of nowhere i just wondered if anyone knows the area and any popular walks/country pubs etc ?....its a little village called Hambleton. worth a visit gnash i live not far from there summer best time my doughter and her family go sometimes you can hire bikes ,boats and so on Quote Link to post Share on other sites

South I think. You don't have to pay plus when you've done the ride round you can have meal and a pint without having to get on bike for a final mile or 2!
