bigmac 97kt 13,735
Well me and viz went to the old perm ,got there just as it was turning dark viz spotted a pigeon in one of the tree,s that had came in to roost and as my rifle was the only one zero,d i took it out with the Merlin ,,,,,sleep it went and down it came . then we spent an hour with the farmer and her partner talking over old times and about her shot guns . Sean had a glass of wine and me a can of coke and a jam doughnut lol then we went into one of the barns and set about zeroing in his Photon xt witch did not go well it was off to the right and low he could not get the cross hairs low enough to set it so he put a shim in it but then it was to high and over to the right so now needs to get some adjustable mounts , I put two mags through the daystate 177 out to 30 yrds and she was spot on only had her set at 18yrds before this but was well happy with how accurate this rifle is . Only got the pigeon but im not bother,d im very impressed with this rifle and its her first kill hope there are many more to come , atvbjimmy  6 Quote Link to post

Jonjon79 13,344
Nice one Mac I honestly do think that Daystate know how to make fantastic rifles - they just seem to have pushed things too far too soon in the last couple of years. For me personally, I prefer their mechanical rifles. Always nice to get the first kill with a rifle 1 Quote Link to post

Jonjon79 13,344
You're welcome mate I was wondering, are you using the thumb hole or thumb up? I won't be at the show mate - I've used up all of my holiday until April and, most of my days off at the moment are spent helping my parents out. Quote Link to post
