Lamp Filter Colours

Can anyone give me the lowdown on what colour for what quarry?

Red the rest is wank.orange is just brighter red.blue is pants and green dont even work

simple answer see what works best for you . ive tried them all and had done well on different quarry with different colours

For me red the rest are shit apparently the blue works in the fog don't know how true it is as I've never tried it

I've tried red but only on a crap LED lamp. Will order a red one up for the tracer and see how I go...cheers !

I stick with white I can't see jack shit with those coloured filters personally think their a waste of money

When i do my work it takes two hours a circuit i start with red then amber ( just a dulled white ) then blue and end up on green ( which i struggle to see the rabbits in unless they move ) but half the time my son says keep the light off them it just spooks them and theres enough street lights for him to see but being older i struggle

When you use filters do yous take the filters off after you slip the dog or run the rabbit with it on.

Flip the filter off. Had a go with a mate tonight slipping the dog on red on my LED then lighting it up with the halogen...seemed to work well even on lamp shy rabbits !

i find you got to flip the filter off to get the extra range with a white light

red for rabbits foxes amber is for fog cuts throw it better an greens for deer doesnt spook them as easy (GAME KEEPER CHECKS HIS AREA AT NIGHT TOLD ME THIS FOR THE DEER ) but IF the place is lamped wont matter

The colour is for us to see the reflection of the quarry's eyes ? it doesn't matter what colour you use as your quarry doesn't know the difference in colours and also acts as a dimmer my dogs are slipped at the eye reflections until the quarry moves then it's the white light to light them up that's just the way I do it as it doesn't tend to spook them this way as for my mate he will see the reflection and whip the filter of and slip the dog at the same time ?

Red filter for all quarry, slip dog on red filter and just as the dog gets to it either pull filter off or on my case my lamping partner has his filter off ready, works well for us and we lamped together for that long we make a handy team

I prefer 1 lamp 1 colour and 1 dog makes life simple atb
