RSVNelly 518
Firstly thanks again to Jimmy's generosity and being invited out for another evenings shooting, a real gentleman whom I'm also fortunate enough to call friend. My learning curve continues, this time on a different permission. I also got to see the correct way of sorting the shoot out with the police and surrounding security which was an eye opener. Last night I took my new Photon XT, however had some real issues trying to zero it, but that's for another post?? I'm really enjoying just sitting back a bit and watching, picking up little bits of technique with the lamp and also the general reactions and habits of what we're looking to shoot. Yet again there were very few rabbits about and what was there was extremely flighty. Jimmy had two great shots, the second was a stunner through some foliage however we couldn't find it in the undergrowth ? The first though was a perfect headshot, the piesta resistance was Jimmy showing me how to do some field butchery without a knife???. The phrase "two fingered strip and flick" have a completely different meaning now lol. Once again I came back empty handed, however a bit wiser and completely happy with the shoot again?? Thanks again Jimmy, till next time mate take care?? 5 Quote Link to post

RSVNelly 518
I think Jimmy is more annoyed about me or really getting a decent opportunity than I am lol. Im just really appreciating the time and patience Jimmy and Sean are spending on me. I'm learning so much invaluable stuff that I can pass on to my grandson if he keeps shooting. I've really struggled since leaving the Army but the time they're spending with me is really helping, cheers fellas. Also thanks for everybody's positive comments and advice, I've feel exceptionally lucky to be a member of the forum cheers. 4 Quote Link to post

I've had some of the best nights out and never even pulled the trigger. Good company is the most important thing when out shooting as you'll always have a good time regardless of the size of the bag of quarry 1 Quote Link to post
