New Rifle ......... The Pump Action Defender

We recently had our works secret Santa and, some generous soul found it in their heart to buy me a new rifle :o

It's light and pointable.

It's small and compact.

The single pump action works flawlessly, if a little clunky.

It's surprisingly quiet.

It's easily accurate out to 3yrds. Although with a little reckless confidence, this can be pushed out to 5yrds.

The single stage trigger..... well, makes the gun fire.

It comes with 4 rounds of ammo.

It has modern blue tactical stock.

It has open sights.

I've been itching to try this out for days now.

So, today, while little 'uns at school and the missus is at work, it was time to try it out :whistling:

After a short stalk from the kitchen to the living room, I spotted a non native species on the sofa - a Chihuahua.

It was aware of my presence and knew something was up.

The first shot needed to be a good one.

I managed to use the other sofa for cover to get within 5yrds.

I took careful aim and fired.

A mix of the shot hitting the cushion and the report from the rifle spooked my quarry.

It bolted for the dining room table - it's come to feel safe under there because it's near impossible to catch among all the chair legs.

I reloaded quickly and took aim. My quarry learned fast, it moved position.

I gave a lot of hold over and fired again. This time it was a direct hit on the back end.

Then, the weirdest thing happened - my quarry picked up my spent ammo and brought it back to me, tail wagging :o

You're welcome mate

I did feel like a bit of a c**t when I shot poor little Frank on the arse but, it made me laugh when he brought the rubber dart back, tail wagging, looking for a fuss

You sending it to twatworks for a stage 5 super tune and an action sticker?

Some curious things happen when they come back from a twat works tune. That reminds me - I didn`t get a sticker.
