Paddy Lurch 0
Lads has anyone came across this before ? Dogs feet are raw. Not sure if there burnt or what. I've been putting antiseptic spray on them for a week near enough and no sign of improvement has anyone had this happen and no the cause of it and how to heal it ? If not I'll take him to the vets to get it sorted..He's 13 months and wanted to start getting him fit but he's sore on the feet! Quote Link to post

slip lead 862
Is he in a kennel??? If so what are you clean the floor with or is there standing piss on floor Quote Link to post
Paddy Lurch 0
I've had him on that ground since a pup and he's only got it recently, my whippets in with him and no problems with his feet. Any time I take him out its just for a free run around some fields , I was wondering would he have burnt them off chemicals ? No haven't been at airports lad, The kennel's cleaned regularly and the other dog has no signs of it so I'm not sure ?! Cheers for the feedback too Quote Link to post
whitefeet4190 1,729
The stuff in his pen won't help mate, what is it ? Quote Link to post
whitefeet4190 1,729
If it's tarmac plainings it might be burning / irritating his feet especially when it gets wet ?? 4 Quote Link to post

Paddy Lurch 0
Not too sure if my replies are showing up..yes there planings just so that I can lift the dirt...Over to the right they have concrete...I've had him and another dog there with no bother at all just all of a sudden its came.. bunnywhacker 7
As said the chippings most propably but check Disinfectants if being used as they can burn. 1 Quote Link to post
Maximus Ferret 2,065
As said above, possibly/probably tar burning the skin on his feet. Best of luck solving it, he looks a grand strong and well balanced animal. Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
With plainings it could be either piss or cleaning chemicals reacting with it. Has it been compacted down and what is under it. Would everything soak down and through. It just seems an unusual and unhygienic kennel floor. Quote Link to post
Paddy Lurch 0
Cheers for the feedback lads...I've had him and another dog in that pen since they were pups and its kept well cleaned there has been no problems up unitl now ? the other dog has had no problems...maybe he's taken a reaction to it or the disinfectant or I'm wondering has he got if off chemicals out somewhere...either way safer to see what vet says...cheers One of my other replies didn't post sorry. Bosun11 537
I've sorted that post Paddy. A vet is the right choice mate to help it. A fine looking dog that, best of luck with it. Quote Link to post
