In a nutshel.....

 

Handle them regularly and teach them bite inhibition. Once that's done, get yourself a locator collar and get them used to wearing it, so they don't wriggle out of it.

 

Take them somewhere where you have permission, put them down a hole and see what happens.

 

 

And don't forget to take a good shovel, just in case !

Welcome buddy,

Im new to ferreting too, all i can say is this is a brilliant forum with nice people to offer advice and there services,

 

Enjoy your ferrets they are wonderful creatures.

 

If biting is a problem i found a good scuff and drag along the carpet for about a foot is good training, its supposed to mimic the mums behavior.

It worked on mine in 3 weeks

 

 

And if you dont have a collar and locator, you dont need a shovel.
