Mark, to answer your questions, yes I did sell it, the only reason being, I like to do a lot of wandering around, and I refuse to walk round with an air rifle that weighs more than my .243 with its huge moderator, do I miss it ? Yes I certainly do, it was insanely accurate, smooth and quiet, the trigger is not as good as the rekord unit, however Rowan engineering sell a kit which is meant to transform it,the stock on my master pro (ambi) was quite nice, it was a standard dark beech sort of thing, but certainly not unpleasant or cheap, the LGV/LGU rifles are noted for creeping up in power after a few tins of pellets,as did mine, so expect a new one doing 10.8-11ftlbs to have risen to around, 11.4 ish after bedding in, as I said, they all seem to do this, I dont like the competition ultra tbh I much prefer the smooth hunting rifle appearance of the master pro, if weight is not an issue Mark, I really do think you should at least try one before making a decision, the firing cycle and ultra quick lock time, rinses by a country mile, some very nicely tuned spring rifles, and the quality of the internals compared with Weirauch offerings, is like comparing a Ford escort with an Aston Martin, worlds apart.

Hmmmm :hmm:, thank`s for that Charlie.

I`ll take a look at the Master Pro before I decide .

My gunsmith mate sells them so I might part chop the FWB.

Tony at Sandwell Field Sports recommends the HW 95 Luxus but I must admit I am leaning more toward Walther than HW for the exact same reasons that you have given " IF" the power is not low.

The thing is Mark, if you are sitting in the hide, a heavier rifle is not going to be such an issue I would have thought. Perhaps a different story if you were doing a lot of walking around the perm as I often do and then I even think the HW is a dead weight which is why I am trying the Ultra and have a craving for the Wildcat.

Trust me mate, you need to shoot one, and the power is absolutely spot on after bedding in,I bought mine from Holland, I bought the 12 ftlbs version, they also sell an 18ftlb version in .177 so mate getting the power to where you need it is not an issue honestly.

I can only agree with you Jon. When I popped into ASI last week they gave me one of the few FX product books that are in the UK with a lovely photo of the laminate stock version, ooooooohh seriously good looker.
