Ferret Travel Boxes

What do you guys put the ferrets in to travel good distances in the car etc as a carry box can be a bit cramped for them, if anyone has any pictures then even better.

Used to put mine in a cat carrier Jordan

I use a modified pigeon crate , it can hold all 12 of my ferrets and the tops nearly all mesh so i can sit the carrying boxes on it in the car and they still get plenty of air

In my van I could fit one of the cheap 3 foot rabbit hutches you buy at pet stores,,,but generally I use a cat carrier

I've used a cat carrier when I knew I wasnt going straight home after working them. plenty of space for 2 Jill's and a pretty big hob to move about freely.

As others have said - cat carrier. I use one of the ones that are completely mesh so also use it out in the field if weather's warm and dry.

Cheers for the replays lads, iv got a cat carry bud round me mothers come to think of it, I used to use it to put ferrets in when I was cleaning them out as there was so many places they could get out of the garden.

What a beautiful garden and your dogs, harvest of rabbits and ferrets make it even more pleasing to the eye. Id be getting that framed!

Thanks Micheala. I took about 20 variations of that shot and that's the only one that came out nicely. In all the others one or other of the dogs didn't look so good or the angle I'd shot at was wrong etc etc. One of the benefits of digital over old school 35mm!

Well it payed off in the end you got a really nice photograph there.

I know what it's like taking photos of animals or children that are on the move you just have to just keep clicking away and hope you have one that's suitable from the collection.

That's where a decent GB on your phone comes in handy, nothing worse than when you see a ideal photo opportunity and your iPhone announces 'you haven't enough storage to take this photograph' ??
