I bought one of those isotex 5000 today on eBay based on recommendations. I'm still holding out on the boots just yet

I'm pleased with what I've got

 

A couple can tell you if it's from good stock or not

 

There's a couple more on here that saw the bitch, and while it may or may not fit down a hole you can ask them if they *thought* (and that's all it could be at the moment) it will be capable of doing a job

A finding bar probably became less important with the introduction of technology(box and collar), but was a vital tool in its day, ferreting and terriers, I still bring it and use it occasionally, I was brought up using it and old habits die hard.

Neil ,can you explain the importance of a finding bar .Never owned one ,never will but I know lads who won't leave home without one.

I brought up the subject on finding bars to try and start an arguement, LOL.

I hate the bloody things..................and I own 3. They're the most over rated ,over used tools.

I argued against them on a topic on here before and it looked like I was the only who doesn't use one.

Lads spend a small fortune on a locator and then sink a bar hole to be sure to be sure. Very silly.
