shaaark 11,528
Seen more than a few whippet litters advertised like that the last couple of years. 'To show homes preferably' etc. But they were asking between £600 - £800! . F***ing ridiculous, the world's gone mad. Let's be honest, most lurchers, sighthounds and whippets in particular make great family pets and are ideal country or walking companions. And I've also seen plenty of kc show bred dogs of many different breeds catching rabbits etc tons of times. It's as though they think that by selling to these 'non working' interested type people, the dogs won't want to work lol. Madness, f***ing madness Edited July 27, 2016 by shaaark 2 Quote Link to post

forest of dean redneck 12,023
People pay silly money ,my doodle was £295 as got slightly undershot jaw,she was 16 weeks old, jabbed including kennel cough, chipped an practically lead trained. But she would been around £1000 Even though you got a bargain you still got robbed lol When I weighed it up. I could got a terrier but then didn't want the scrappy nature , buy a crossbreed out of someone's home, an hope they are telling truth on breeding rearing etc (had my fingers burnt already that way) Or buy her. So far it's worked out ok. Quote Link to post

Was looking last night £4-700 Yep, there's a few people that live less than 10 miles from me that have jumped on the whippet's popularity since the ban, and are chucking out pups pretty regularly for these absurd sort of prices, WRONG! 1 Quote Link to post

MickC 1,825
I only breed a litter out of my own stuff if I need to replace something and the rest are gifted free to working homes so the prices dogs/pups are fetching does not affect me anyway. 2 Quote Link to post
TALKCHEAP 183
unless your buying its got nothing to do with any of us,maybe they put high prices thinking theres more chance of them getting good homes, who cares any way, leave this sort of thing to the old woman Quote Link to post
