Tell us mark a bit more about the hide , i.e. How's it made , cause it does look good ?

Atb

Hi Dave, " sorry for the slow reply", busy house at the moment.

This hide was a bog standard Jack Pyke poles hide with Hessian camo screen and leaf camo net around the base, ( impossible to see through with solid background).

The roof was garden cane support, see through camo fine mesh and NATO tank netting that fell off a tank :whistling:.

Then it was me in full gillie suit, Primos sticks and T Rex.

Never, ever , use a fishing brollie draped in camo Dave,- keeps you dry in the rain, stops the refreshing cool breeze in the sun and above all, you see feck all until it startles you.

Mate I hate building man made hides, they are no where near as good as natural but in this case I had to.

The Wood Pigeons were feeding from this particular field but the hedgerow is all bramble, so I had to build.

Below is a natural hide.

I expect this hide to be lethal when "the time is right".

Hope this helps any.

atb.

Nice shooting Mark

How far from the hide do you set your decoys?

Sorry for the slow reply Jonjon, so busy at the moment.

Only dead birds on cradles used mate and set them between approx. 20. yds out to 35 yds.( building to a horse shoe pattern).

I started with five defrosted pigeon and 1 magpie, the rest wanted to join the gathering
