You`ve got to have a work/life balance. You`re only here once

Thats it. Had enough. Would rather earn much less and be happier than drag my arse out there any longer.   Will be skint for maybe 6 months, but have prepared.   Anyone contemplating the offshore

You can be the richest person in the graveyard, but your still dead.

Hard graft if both trades are on price ,,,what pisses me off is forklift drivers now ,,wet trades should be first to get loaded in mornings not joiners there wood doesn't go off or stuff does,,,and scaffolding ALWAYS set up for joiners never us

".try traveling 4 days to the middle of the jungle in the highlands of Papua New Guinea being escorting by armed guards everywhere you go working 36 hour shifts away from home for 6-8 weeks ."

Sounds magic. So how does your family like it ?

that is just some of the sacrifices I have to make to allow my family have a comfortable life style and being away from home for half the year makes you appreciate your family time all the more but remember I am also home for 6 months when my time is mine and can probably spend as much time with my family as someone who works a 9 to 5 job
