Anyone else get bored mooching around the same spots ? In the summer I tend to mooch around the same spots and I know what I'm gone see and that's jack shit and the places I know do hold has to much c

Take mine crop hopping. Good exercise for dogs that can do the work. Some hunt through but the best for keeping fit is the jumpers.

 

We will be King for sure if I didn't have to leave for Alton towers Sunday night I'd be up lol

Having been here for 3 weeks I'm having a great time walking down the country lanes exploring the area.

First field I walked in last night.20yds down the hedge was a fox earth

The place is lifting with rabbits here owain.

Get up here with shaun for a wander when the season starts.

Didn't know you ad moved already mate? I know you mentioned it mind hope alls well :thumbs: how's that white pup going?
Yea 3 weeks ago now mate.near whitchurch in the middle of the countryside I'm in my element lol.i had to let the white dog go i haven't got kennels or anywhere else to keep him.i had high hopes for him but had no choice.

He's gone to a mature lad who will give him plenty of work.so I'm happy with that.we will have to sort a night out this season mate.

he will defo be worked well mate, I knew where u was moving was a good place been up there a few times mate, ur first season up there should be cracking, Wellington ain't far from you is it? Where come up when season in an u come here mate re fill ur freezer no problems

Sounds like my ideal place to live lol. She me about the white dog mate was looking forward to seeing him out working at least he's with someone who knows how to use him. Yes we will get out hoping to be on the road in next couple of months :thumbs:

Wellington is Telford I think kieran.thats only 20 miles away.

@jeppi.sounds like a plan mate.roll on September I can't wait for it.i couldn't do much last year because running on 2 pups.

I was gutted to let him go but that's life I suppose.i will get to see him in action come this season with kieran and his mate.

Same here, crops up to your waist, the dogs normally get a couple of runs but the majority of the time is spent bounding about and enjoying a walk..

Move to Australia! We dont have a season, our dogs work in the heat (when its too hot I try and stay along a creek,so they can keep cool) and there is more rabbiting spots than you could work in a lifetime.

I was going to say something similar. After my early education with working dogs, living in Coniston with hairy beardie crosses, walking them early and late and always close to the beck, now I can go out whenever I want. It needs to be temperatures of around 30°c for several days before my kelpie bitch , Scout, will give in and stop for a drink. Noggin seems to feel the heat a tad more though, which I presume is down to his slightly longer coat...difficult to tell with the temperatures we're getting this summer! Old Rusty would still look for a warm spot to lay in in the garden even when the heat was splitting the trees...silly old bugger!
