Besides the dry internals, it looks like he's looked after it pal.

no just fixing it up for him so he can blast the hooligans from the house

the stocks a bit battered and there are some big chunks and gouges so not to sure its worth giving it a mac over :whistling: cos the buleing is paggerd and the barrels well pitted too!

as long as it shoots well i think he'll be happy

atb si

Go on give it a mac over you no you want to :thumbs:

if the pitting is that bad just rub it over prime and paint

atvbmac

looking at what the lads have put up i may well have too, if it comes up well i might strike a deal with him

would getting rid of the blueing/ blacking be sacrilege?!

think it might look good polished :hmm:

Hi I have a few airsporters (Around 13 at last count!!) This mk6 is the latest addition     It's in superb condition and shoots lovely too! I swapped a customised Crosman 2250 for it

Hi Mac   Here's a mk1 HW80 that I bought that was dead rusty, I got it from SDS dive shop here in Sheffield for £60..     I stripped the action and ground down to below the deepest pitts..

was out at a garden/paddock perm the other night and was talking to the owner.. the rabbits are all over wrecking his garden but when i show up there hardly ever there! he's sat there during the day

I've got a mk1 John I think it's 1960/59 air sporter

With the silver top ? There's no grove for a scope , just open sights

Any good for your collection , if you haven't got one

Atb

Dave

Hi Dave

It sounds like a mk1, It should have a tapered barrel too, It was the only Airsporter not to have scope dovetails, The mk2 had four short pressed out ones and a special set of mounts is needed...

How much do you want for it please?

Cheers, John :bye:

thats a very generous offer mac thanks  but I'm gonna decline its going back to its owner!

I've fettled n grinded all sorts, the tophat was swollen so I've ground that a bit with the Dremel and sunk the piston rings slightly!

i took the pellet loader out too and gave the barrel a few pull throughs.... this was a right pain cos the spring got stuck in the piston outlet! solved with a doctored wall tie :D

gave the right places a bit of molying and its putting out around the 10ftp which is pretty good considering the state it was in :victory:
