Front Leg Broken.

Recommended Posts

Out for a walk earlier 2 bull xs and the terrier bitch.

About 100yds away she started screaming in pain.

I had that feeling she has done something serious.ran over front leg broken radius bone clean break straight through it.could feel the movment in the bone straight away as I picked her up.

Been to vets for x-ray and she's splinted and drugged up out cold on the couch now.post-1341-0-31937700-1463961250_thumb.jpg

Those wee terriers are tougher than you think, sure she'll bounce back in no time pal

Just be glad it wasn't one of your runners

That's what was running through my mind last night mate.

It's the wife's couch dog aswell so she wasn't best pleased.

But dogs will be dogs i suppose.got to look on the bright side

I think could of been her back.

Did one of the lurchers whack into her ?

I think she caught her leg in a rabbit hole or ridge in the ground neil.

It's rough ground in parts.the runners were over to the left of her at the time the screaming started.

Probably one of those freak things so. If it's a clean break it might help a bit.

Yea the vet said that it's a neat clean break.not a messy 1.

She's pulled the ligaments in her shoulder aswell so I'm thinking the leg might of jammed down a hole or something and her momentum then snapped the leg and pulled on her shoulder.

My lurcher bitch spent most of last season laid up with a over stretched ligament and my vet said a clean break would have been better for her as once healed that's sort of it but this ligament damage is here for life and will bring an early end to her field life.Good luck with the wee thing King and hope it comes good for you :victory: ..
