given enough time, there are no limits.....small changes at each generation [variations] and big changes [mutations], combine to cause continuous evolution....a species is DNA that can breed within the group....after enough changes it becomes a variety...after more change, it can no longer breed with the original group and becomes a new species.............remember what Lisa Simpson said, "if there is anything you dont understand, then god did it".....................
