May I refer you all to the title of this thread - MY thread?

I want a 22 Hornet.

I don't want a K hornet.

I don't want a 17 Hornet.

I don't want a 222.

I don't want any other calibre you might be able to suggest.

A 22 Hornet is what I want and a 22 Hornet is what I'm getting.

I hope this is acceptable to everyone. :)

Read this thread from front to back and what a load of shit some talk .By stacking your cabinet full of rifles you are creating unnecessary drama .As a young keeper ,the estate rifle was a .22 hornet

Walshie, next time you want a new rifle just go buy the fecking thing and don't mention it on here ffs

I have the 527 in .17 Hornet. It has a 24" 'varmint' barrel. It is nothing like a real varmint barrel though. I once owned a Tikka T3 Varmint. It had a Jet-Z CQB sat on the end as well!!   I don't

No not sarcasm but I do think it is utter rubbish sorry.

Six hornet's have passed through my hands. Some old some new.

Zero issues with chambers and bores.

.224" down .223" barrels no problem.

I don't believe everything I read on the net but I will stick to my experience of six rifles in hornet with my reloads and factory ammo ta.

U.

But you don't know as much as someone who's had 7 hornets do you? :D

Lol, no, very true.

Maybe I just got lucky!

Much luckier than the professional reviewers who see and hear all the tales of woe and know the history of the calibre from it's inception and who have also seen the different dimensional drawings and loadings over time.

I respect your experience but just because you've had 6 guns in the calibre doesn't mean you have had every dimension of gun made in your hands especially the K's of which you appear to have non. You've had ones that complied with modern standards and / or were compatible. But in a world where tens of thousands were made, saying you had 6 of them so there's nothing different about any of them is like saying you've had 6 of the National Lottery Scratch cards and not won, so non of them are winners.

What and miss out on all the fun when the thread diverts off at a (related) tangent? :tongue2:

Why do you want a .177 ?

Because he's not man enough for a real gun. ;)
