Last week my nephew sent me a picture of my father from around 1959/60. I must admit it did bring a little lump to my throat but looking at the photo, he is just as I remember him even after nearly 50 years. The original copy he sent me had fold and crease marks but he attempted to restore the photo and it has not turned out too bad. The original I am the one on the far right with my brother and eldest sister with my father in front of a 1950's Ford Anglia van.. The restored photo. The kids always asked what my parents were like, it's great to have a photo for them to reference too, as it is their history as well as mine. The youngest granddaughter who is just 3 is fascinated by it and tells everyone who wants to listen or not "that is my great dadcu he is in heaven now.
