Stray/dumped Dogs

Recommended Posts

I had same here, with a lurcher an terrier,no dog warden any more ,get told to turn it loose again so it's someone else's problem. In end facebook came to rescue but turns out the dogs had been returned to owners numerous times an they let them lose again, 2 women came round collected the terrier which me kids loved but didn't want the beddy lurcher with a gammy leg as her fella had a new one, so I said I'd rehome it,but then no one wanted it as I wasn't owner so 24 hrs later kennels from newport drove up collected and it went to pound, then went over to rescue in England.

How anyone can dump dog don't know, I suppose they either don't want to pay to have it PTS or don't want it on Their conscience.

Walshie you should have got past them 6" teeth and got a grip on it, checked if it was a young bitch and if it was, then take it home to breed the arse out of it for coin. Everyone else with pedigree dogs os doin it..!!

Hmm. Half lurcher half westie would be one ugly dog.

In any case, as my neighbour put it, it was a "boy puppy".

wife found a staffy in town last year its was following the daughter. As she got there a police car nearly ran it over which they thought was funny and said just take it home with you or leave there. Luckily the local vets had some one there and they took it in. Turned out to be chipped and was reunited with its owner the next morning which was lucky as they had travelled few hundred miles to visit and the dog had nipped out the yard when they weren't looking

Must be 20 years ago now, my wife and I found a stray rotty pup well underfed and looking real pitiful, at a guess about 4-5 months old. We decided to take it home give it feed and locate the owners. Nine years later when we had to have her put to sleep I wondered who was the lucky one, me or the dog, think I had the edge on her.
