Popular Post gwalchmai4110 1,757
I received a phone call Thursday night from a distressed farmer about an hour away from my home. he was at his whit's end with an elusive Charlie who was by now causing him some considerable damage. he had had the rifle boys out but ole redskin was proving to be the Houdini of fox world. this farmer has always been good to me in the past and has always let me know when any edible lumps had drifted onto his patch so I was only happy to go and help. so after sacking work off Friday morning (24 hour sick bug) I set off at first light toward the farm. I only had two of my russels this morning as this is all that was available in my kennel for one reason or another on this morning. but I wasn't worried as im sure like most on here if they were not capable of doing the job they would not have a home with me! we tried a few earths but nothing showing, when by accident we stumbled upon a nice small earth with plenty of fresh trade outside. my two white 'uns pulled and this was enough to convince me Charles was in residence. I collared patch up and he was away and was soon baying his opponent just grand! I got a mark off the red brick of 1.2m! bonus. I cut the turf and headed down already thinking of where I was going to stop on the way home to satisfy my hunger (im a fat fxxxxr) when the spade bounced almost out of my hands. I had hit rock and shale! lucky I had my trusty four foot bar and barred my way down to the little white mutt who was now frantically screaming in defiance at his opponent. I lifted the dog and despatched a mangy baron vixen. job done and one happy farmer! 35 Quote Link to post
