That bitch is a cracking thing Mr brook.

The dam to my old bitch was 26.5tts and took all game from doxhope.

Hope she does you proud. The only thing puts me off deer x grey are the size, I prefer dogs, and to stand 24-27tts personally, I know it does matter with height as some big dogs catch fine.

Ill make all the Brits very cross now but all the deerhound crosses I've seen were great at self preservation, most were afraid of foxes and always went for the easy option, the ones that weren't too afraid of foxes still didn't try too hard at cover and gave up easily.i don't know about uk but most deerhound crosses here are kept by the show crowd, the lads who go out to catch foxes have bull, wheaten, collie, hound or whatever does the job.

Well, I don't think you have seen many then.

without a good upbringing a deerhound can be gutless on charlie, with a good upbringing there bloody good at em.i think the reason bull x's are popular now is because there so easy to work with and you can't really ruin by bad handling..just point and fire dogs.deerhound x's are a much more versatial.

Deerhound crosses divide opinion among lurcher men, and so what ? Debating is healthy for any sport.

But one thing that's for sure is that most folk agree that they are among the most beautiful of dogs, and that youngster is a beauty.

What seems to be most common in all lurched threads seems to be the need to constantly knock other types and breeds anyone who isnt breed or kennel blind will know that all dogs as individuals or types have their strong and not so strong points,a bit more experience and time spent in the field would help before people spout off.
