TUFFTY 1,484
I actually think its a shame and feel quite sorry in a way for someone like Peter Fury who in all fairness seems like a pretty sensible and amiable chap.......Fury has a chance of winning what was once the greatest prize in sport and like Bruno and possibly Lewis before him should be looking at becoming a much loved British sporting personality.....but instead due to the tastelessness, vulgarity and general idiocy that surrounds him he,s just a laughing stock who many people feel no allegiance to whatsoever.......much as i want him to win because he,s British thats the only reason most people want him to win which seems a shame but i guess its another drawback to not putting proven experienced people in place around you. I've followed boxing for all of my life, I remember sitting downstairs at silly hours with my dad when I was a kid listening to the radio when the likes of Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield were in the heavyweight division and I've never, ever thought about supporting a foreign boxer over a local one. Never. But I really am in 2 minds about this fight and as much as I want that heavyweight belt in the country, I really don't like this Fury fella. The only reason I want him to win, is so that I can see AJ take the belt off him. And that's sad really. I hate to say it Gaz...but i feel much the same about AJ...i've tried to like him but i find myself wanting to see him put on his arse just to see the look on Eddie Hearns poofhouse prema tanned face...the thing i noticed about the Johnson fight was when AJ got his man going and was teeing off with his shots and flailing away at him on the ropes...he looked wide open to a left hand counter...he struggled against southpaws in the amateurs got slapped all over the shop by a southpaw romainian...i think a big experienced switch hitter like Tyson Fury would cause him major problems...one of the things Whyte has in his armoury is a hell of a left hook... check out his first round knock down of Marcelo Nascimestor...Whyte also works well to the body and that will bring that right hand down...think Whyte will cause him some problems...Aj certainly wont walk through him like he did Cornish May I ask why you feel like this about AJ ? He is professional in every single aspect of hes life. Yet fury is definitely not professional in any aspect whatsoever. Because fury is like he is people don't like it. But someone like AJ in my thoughts has and is the ideal professional sportsman there is.

We all have differnt opinions tuffty...thats what makes the world go round...and im not much of a fan of Tyson Fury as a person either!...too early to be getting too excited about Joshua...can see the shadow of Audley Harrison...remember he went 19-0 with all the same hype...you wait til A.J steps up in class...i bet he gets put on his arse from a left hand...guess which hand Whyte put Joshua down with in the amateurs?
Gaz_1989 9,539
I hope you are right AKA BRINDLE and Whyte gives AJ a good fight. Would be good to see how he deals with a decent counter, as you say a good left hook could spell problems. But as I'm sure you know yourself, it's easier said than done sometimes. It's hard to hit back when a big hitter like AJ is pounding away at you. I'm getting bored of AJ walking through these decent pro boxers though. Lol.
King. 215
Was thinking the other day how a lot of wrestlers have died before there time not just the big daddy era but later when the wwf was at it's peak a lot of them are dead now that ultimate warrior died this year or last year shame, to many drugs maybe.. It's funny you should mention the ultimate warrior dodger. Me and my cousin was talking about him a few weeks ago. We both agreed he had 1 of the best frames frames in wrestling. Gaz_1989 9,539
Got to agree re AJ He's fought no one Hopefully TF does Klitchko And Whyte tests AJ Lol. Whyte would be safer staying at home and testing his bath water ???
Gaz_1989 9,539
Max, what do you mean "he's fought no one". Was Cornish a nobody? Really? What about Kevin Johnson??? Former world title challenger, who had never been stopped, and he had shared a ring with the likes of Klitschko and Fury. They couldn't get him out of there could they? But Joshua stopped him in just under four and a half minutes, putting him down twice in the first round...
Crackers 807
Common wealth champ so not a push over he earned it to have it taking in one round ?
Gaz_1989 9,539
Styles make fights I don't buy into this A stopped B in 5 but it took C 9 so A is miles better ect Every night and fight is different All I'm saying is AJ ain't had his chin tested yet Ok beating up on someone Even ok been a good fighter But if I was in the trenches I'd rather be next to someone Game if you get my drift. Wev yet to see how game AJ is At least We know Fury can and will get back up What makes you think he's never had his chin tested? Or gone 14-15-16 rounds with pros. Because you haven't seen it on TV?

Gary Cornish had no heart part time boxer part time joined who had to book time of work to train for the fight if that's what we got as a challenge for a commonwealth bealt it's a shame tbh Kevin Johnson wasn't really hurt tho was he lets be honest ref knew the score and called it of far of early what's known as a British stoppage to the rest of the world Cracking power on aj I will agree however that's Eddies main money spinner and if you think boxing isn't corrupt then your foolish it was also clear Kevin Johnsons heart just was not in the boxing any more also he was olny there to get the pay check forget all this nonsense about him getting trained by the furys Peter fury tells it straight he turned up and shown no ambition what so ever so half way through the camp Peter fury refused to train him hence why Peter fury never came out with him at ringside

Audrey Harrison was one of the best amateurs ever. That's why he had hype. But obviously couldn't cope with the professional boxers. AJ was Not. AJ brings to the ring what Audrey didn't. Two entirely different boxers.

Gaz_1989 9,539
Who says he has Gaz? And even if he has it's not the same as a Pro Fight. Of course he has. Why would you think he hasn't? Plenty of lads on here don't post there dogs with game, does that mean they've never caught anything? White collar lads training for a fight at the local village hall are doing them sort of rounds on a Sunday.
