Kalibr Crickets

Recommended Posts

I like the wooden stocks on the cricket, the skeleton types. But I don't know if they are available over here. Kalibr need to start manufacturing sub 12ft/lb rifles so they can import directly.

Wooden stocks are available on import only along with the bulk of the accessories. There are some gifted lads making custom wood though.

Your right about the sub 12 but if greed hadn't overcome a certain gun outfit (which we will not name). There would be a lot more available on the market.

You can still import direct and custom power kits are now becoming available. Lol by lads who have a clue how the rifles work.

The custom power kit? can this be retro fitted to the kalibr? in the UK? I have someone who is a firearms dealer so it could be shipped there. it does seem like a hell of alot of hassle. I just want to buy the bloody gun and use it!

Do you have any links to the custom stocks matey?

I have not looked at a new gun since I bought my HW100KT years ago, it has every thing I need. But you know what it's like lads. I quite fancy a bullpup for use with my NV, and I love the HW100 bullpups, I'm teetering on the edge.

I would avoid HW100 anything. They have had problems from the start and HW haven't really got to grips with the issue. IMO.

Never had a problem with mine, had it since 2010, not even a service.

Well you're lucky buddy. I had trouble with mine and a few of my mates have too. Pressure dropping overnight in the bottle.....mine was leaking and it was one of the first in the country. I wasn't happy! ha ha :D:cray:

So it seems, I've had none of the problems other folk have, mine has accounted for thousands of rabbits and other less edible pests, not even a leaky seal. :D

I`ve two HW 100`s since 2012 no problems what so ever, no problems with HW 100 guns at my ranges either and that`s a lot of 100`s.

Maybe you were just unlucky

That's the shop mate. The fat lad is a duck egg. He offered my 300 quid px for my 100 kt against a cricket. I sold my kt private, then bought a second hand cricket. I wasn't gonna give them a penny of my money after that.

01204 496008. Ring and check stock pal.

Did that shop used to be called something like Target Sports Paul ?

They had a young chap behind the counter that new most things well and everyone waited for him, whilst the rest of the counter staff stood by as nobody wanted to speak to them because they new "nothing". :duh:

There was also a small fat get with a VERY big mouth that everyone "hated", owners son or something ?

Anyways good shop if you dont speak or deal with the owners but personally i would never use them again.:no::no:

I was going to buy a brand new AA S 510 or HW 100 kt, i had my FWB Sport 127 as a pt/ex.

STUMPY offered me £100 openly loud mouthed for all to hear and that included the telescopic sight on it, i just as loudly said "Are you having a laugh, £100 for a FWB Sport" ? Forget it.

He then shouted, yes shouted, at the top of his voice, (as i was walking out), " Hey, i`m not a F---ING thief you know" !

I looked at his staff, they were shaking their heads in disbelief  and all the customers were just gob smacked :( .

I bought two HW 100`s elsewhere that would have been their business but for STUMPY and i`ll never spend a penny there again.

The lad that knows his guns, - that shop would close without him.( he will surely have his own shop one day and i`ll def` go there).

It must be a problem with the early models my son in law has one that leaks despite attempts to fix it.

I've never changed my seals in all the years I've had mine, not even had the bottle off, moderator has only been off twice, and that was to lend it to Falcongit from THL to try on his BSA Ultra. and that's out of the box, mine is the first run of guns with the quick fill adaptor, so it's as old as a HW100KT can be. Seals wise, when I put the bottle on for the first time, all I did was lick the seals, as per the instructions, and that's it, not even had a service, and I do nothing special to it. Wipe with an old rag I keep under the kitchen sink in a jam jar, moist with a squirt of 3 in 1, and after I clean the barrel, two drops of 3 in 1 down the barrel. And that's it. So compared with some folk, I abuse my gun.

No, I've heard of plenty of other HW100's, apart from mine with leakage problems. It seems to be the worst gun for leaks. Unless we've all been unlucky. I would never have another again. And you won't find a bigger devotee to HW than I used to be.....

Darcy old chap. To be fair, join the bullpup forum and get the right info from the lads who know

Ive been lucky enough to have a play with these airguns way before they hit the uk market and glad I know the good lads who have spurred the uk import market on.

And may I add. Not through self financial gain.

As for linkys matey. Your better going to the source. All I can pass on is second hand info.

They are not my thing.
