ratbuster 808
This little fellow visits our garden pond on a regular base. His fishing is faster than lightning, in and out of the water in a blink and always getting his prey ( sunfish fry) Not the best of photo's but I hope you like it

neil cooney 10,416
Lucky you to get a pic. I see Kingfishers most days, the river beside me has a healthy population, but I've only ever seen them catch 3 or 4 times.

ratbuster 808
Thanks guys for the nice comments, just living on the edge of a small village and that garden pond isn't anything special either; just some carp, sunfish, frogs and newts in it and a lot of waterlilies. Somehow it looks the right mix for my little friend, as he's coming back every time. Don't hope the sparrow hawk will chase him, think sparrows are easier prey than that kingfisher
