No mate and nor will a chaffinch cock produce with anything but a chaffie hen,it's down to sperm shape and count but both bully and chaffie hen will produce with all native finches and canaries...

Lutra Lutra 611
I thought a bully cock would produce chicks to a finch or canary hen but she wont rear them ??? Neil, I could be wrong but I have been involved in keeping British Finches and Canaries for over40 years and i've never known Cock Bully mating with anything other than it;s own kind, ie, Hen Bullfinch. Does anyone know any different? My brother sat with one of his friends and helped a CanaryXBully out of the shell, due to much weakness. He saved it. That's the guy who had the white Chaffinch, an abberation. They fascinate me. We watched a nest of white Blackbirds in the nest near to one of the busy Hospitals, but couldn't get near them. I noticed a certain idiot trying get you going afew days ago. However, in my opinion you rose to his childish manner in good admirable fashion. Well done. I will definitely send you the book next week with some photos of some of the older terriers.I have to find myself another terrier or 2 and David says he'd like a nice little Border. He had litle Toby when David was 15. The dog worked everything and marked Rabbits 100 per cent true, he sit there behind a hole waiting for Rats to bolt.
