depends how bad it is mate. it could be fractured broke or dislocated or just plain old knocked a little. have you had the dog looked at by anyone if he is has sore as you are making out it could be broke.

knocked up toe/ spilt nail etc 4 weeks, as anything around the foot will be very sore, if bust or fracture 8 weeks you (got) to give it time to (mend) Max on here knows all about running dog injury's he the man to chat to

Ffs don't listen to me I'm messing it was ts a nail cut short or pull out , otherwise depending on the dog plenty of rest and take your time when getting back out seen in t too many times with dogs being rushed back and never getting better

All u can do is rest wait till swelling goes down if if a fracture the swelling might never go down it all boils down to knowing when dog isn't feeling any pain to when u can run her or him bud...u know ur own dog best
