Ours is 25 for a full plot and communal water tubs to share. So good value. Even at that price there are lots of wasted plots neck deep in weeds. Some of folks that have been there for 20 odd years or more remember the time when all the plots were in use and spotless. Times have changed.

Some parts of the country plots are very dear indeed and whooping waiting list.

3 year waiting for one round me. My old man as been after one for ages. You see them over run with weeds but folk still pay the rent on them and do nothing with them a waste really.

Looks a nice size plot tea pot should have plenty of veg growing in there

Same here 3 year waiting list,but some of the plots not been worked ,2 next to me been repossessed ,one had 4 ft sq bug dug since November ,then left to grow 5 ft nettles,now council slashed and burned it,but it's starting to come back again.

There is loads empty up my neck of the woods because some of them are lazy and don't want to work.to much hard work for them but the ones that just pay the rent on them and leave them I would chase off.it States on the rule book 2/3 has to be cultivated every year and some haven't been used for years.chase them and let somebody else have it if they are prepared to use it.atb with yours mate.

You got a good start there mate, the last time I had a plot it took me 4 months to chop it down, the sappling tree's were blocking the light from the Dandelions.

Yeah they send letters out first,I had one march time,got to be half cultivated and weeds kept down.

I dipped out I should dug next door over and planted it for a year and a plot free as it was paid up,lol

If I don't use mine I get chucked off,can't see the point in paying rent on a plot but never using it.

There is only 8 plots where you can keep poultry that has a ten year waiting list also.

You guys just know that I would respond. Well done getting a good looking plot. Listen to all the advice, don't go down the horse muck route stick with well rotted cow muck, don't set too early, (if you read my posts that will be explained), if it looks like a weed it is, get it out because veg and weeds need the same moisture. Get your crop in as it matures. (most people plant about 20 of everything at the same time and obviously it can't be eaten. ) Good luck and look forward to hearing of your results. (As an old hand I've just had it stuffed up me) I listened to the local gurus who said take your netting off the brussels as it makes them spring. Fckg butterflies straight in and it looks like I lost the lot. You learn every day with a garden. Jok.
