CushtyJook 1,097 Posted August 27, 2015 Report Share Posted August 27, 2015 Got a bit of ground going to waste and can't do anything on it apart from store stuff and a friend had rang me up this afternoon asking if he could dig a fishing lake on it I'm into fishing aswell so would like to do the idea myself also has anyone else done anything silimar it will not be a huge big carp fishery just a small lake with Carp tench etc something that's not even half an acre in size Quote Link to post Share on other sites

sussex 5,803 Posted August 27, 2015 Report Share Posted August 27, 2015 Got a bit of ground going to waste and can't do anything on it apart from store stuff and a friend had rang me up this afternoon asking if he could dig a fishing lake on it I'm into fishing aswell so would like to do the idea myself also has anyone else done anything silimar it will not be a huge big carp fishery just a small lake with Carp tench etc something that's not even half an acre in size I would think you would need to be in the right sort of place to just dig a pond /lake and it fill with water and retain it during the summer months , we dug out a couple of flight ponds in what we thought was a wet boggy area , it filled up no problem but if we had a really dry spell it just dried up ..luckily it only happened on a couple of occasions and we never had fish in it to worry about ...just a thought ..
