Watching And Counting The Rabbits.- Basic Fieldcraft.

Took a look at the rabbit field again tonight lads.

If you remember, i was watching over this field, with it`s first rabbits in years. The head count was around 5 to 7 earlier this year, tonight at approx` 8pm the count was approx` 15 to 20 :-).

 

Shoot one or two for Christmas time maybe if poachers don`t find them first

Sorry I don't go to count or exercise rabbits if I see them it's when I'mulling the trigger

Could of been worth the wait then,go get yourself a couple and if they get poached or whatever and they dwindle then its a bit crappy but you've tried,if they remain or increase its a nice little spot to fill a pot every now and then...

I'd be tempted to leave them alone till next year , but keep a close eye on them , just in case !

15/20 now could be a 100 next year

I suppose it all depends on what your land owner wants
