The Seeker 3,048
For a "budget" scope, try a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x50. Seriously these scopes are incredible value for money, I would have no hesitation putting one of these on any of my rifles, they are optically IMO nearly as good as most of the top brands out there Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
ASE ULTRA and a Meopta Artemis 7x50 Quote Link to post
AThomas 32
You can get a new vortex scope for that money. Mod wise, most retail at just over the £200 mark,yo could pick one up second hand. Quote Link to post
jok 3,439
8 x 56 is way to go Swarofski/Docter. Trouble will be the cost but results are results. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
There isn't a best of either, as you can see you have already got a mix of kit (and prices). What is best is what works for you, just think of weight, size protrusion, etc., when considering which mod to buy. There isn't a whole lot to chose between any of them on sound moderation, particularly with a .223, but try and get one as calibre specific as possible, ie, get a .223 mod, not a .308 mod and fit it to your .223! Scope wise it will depend on your day/night shooting, distance, preferred magnification/reticle, etc, a .223 isn't harsh, so just about any scope will take the bashing, look through as many as you can. A number mentioned above come in a chunk over £200, even second hand. Masses of perfectly capable new scopes to chose from at £200, you may have to stretch a tiny bit more for the mod. ATB!
