Avast is awesome and free. Malwarebytes, spybot search and destroy and ccleaner are all u need   Avast is free aswell

If you want a rodent in a gimp mask it's just the place terry

you know it well then lol

yep avg does drag down some of the older systems and even some new. Avast does perform better. The paid products tend to be over kill and cause more problems than they solve at least the home user ones.

We see lots of machines where a paid for home anti virus has caused issues. They have lots of bells and whistles tend to be over kill. The paid avg internet security could some time cause mayhem with the networking or used to. get lots of pc's with a paid Norton or McAfee still riddled with spyware.

The business range tend to be much better. This is one of the best we have found so far

works really well for virus and spyware but is still light weight and doesn't break any thing. Plus they have good uk support

So bells and whistles where IT Security are concerned, could be an issue.. sorry but those bells and whistles are what keep you safe, maybe the issue...is elsewhere..Business endpoint, is completely different

Advocating free AV... really is dumb ass :) good for revenue generation though

I don't use any firewall or AV software, if you run adblock and are smart about your browsing you don't really need them TBH. Waste of money if you pay for them and most of the free ones are worse than the malware you're trying to block!
