Best Silencer

Can anyone tell me what the best (quietest) silencers are and roughly what price, to go on a hw100, cheers for any info

Nothing really.

 

Perhaps a Twink Mk2, but our ears wont tell the difference. Ask Mac about um man, he had one on his Raider if my memory serves me right.

HW silencer is the one that all the others are compared to ,very effective and also a nice size.

The HW silencer is designed for the HW100 and works superbly on it.

The Twink Mk 2 is also very good.

I like the Phoenix Moderator, very good and lightweight too, slightly quieter on the Super 10 than the Twink was.

I think there might be something wrong with this one. I didnt get it new and its not as quiet as the other hw silencers ive baught. I will stick to the hw one ill buy a new one. Cheers for all the replys

I rate the twink very highly but not on the hw100 for some reason every thing else iv try,d it on has been silent but not the 100

 

As mole has say,d the hw silencer was made for that rifle and is a very good silencer but so is the bsa vc silencer its the only other one that iv found works well on the hw100 .

 

The other one that i use is the marksman its about an inch and a half longer than the twink and very impressive on my s410 classic its deadly silent but makes your rifle seam a lot longer iv not try,d it on a hw100 yet so i cant comment on how it would perform on one

 

When we met you vis told you to get a VC silencer for her as they are so quiet on his rifle the vc is often over looked by the hw and a&m silencers

 

The best thing to do is take your rifle along with you to your rfd and try them you will soon see or hear in this case witch

one suits your rifle

Yes mac taking it and trying a few different ones before i buy is probably the best thing to do, cheers for that, ill let you know what sounds best on the 100

When ive done that. I took the 100 out yesterday to zero in and get the feel of it, ime well pleased and can get twice as many shots per fill than the kt, zeroed at 30 mtrs pellet on pellet and after a bit of working out on thr scope shots were almost all inside a 50p pice at 60 mtrs, i hope visla is as happy with the r10 when he tries it, ill let him know how i got on. I've tried most of the silencers on a hw100 & found the best 1 to be the genuine hw silencer, that's what I've always used, as for the bsa vc, that is better on the r10 shrouded barrel version, more for the taper to run into the shroud, but also very effective, by the way I've had a quick few shots with the r10, scoped my mambas in within 5 shots, pellet on pellet in the garden at 30 m&s, so all seems well mate.

Cheers mate, i think i will do what bigmac sugested but it sounds like i will be getting a new hw silencer, there must be something wrong with this one, i got it with another gun ages ago, ime glad your happy with the r10 it was the first one of them i have owned and used, i thought it was a great gun just the wrong callibre for me but i will definetly get another in .177. Before I sent my BSA R10 to THE RAT WORKS for tuning I used a HW suppressor (it now has a carbon fibre shroud) and it was the best one I had ever had on the gun at the time.

Iv just brought an A&M Marksman and its awesome bit of kit but on the longside,

probably another inch on a Hw silencer.
