Well by proxy I have. My lad wanted to join and so did my Mrs. It's £33 per month each or £40 for all 3 of us on a family membership.

Should have abs and hosepipe biceps by the fishing comp now!

I bet you will work those machines like a beast ... The chocolate machine the coffe machine

Its one of the few industries that can still get away with being sexist ......Pure bodybuilding gyms, otherwise known as " Male Only " gyms are one of the few leisure facilities thats actually come do

age related dont over excert your self, get the wife to stir your tea ,only read tabloids not the big papers (tend to be heavy) in fact get a kindle and most importantly get someone to slip your dogs

It's small, but has a swimming pool and sauna and you can use 3 other gyms in the area too. Looking forward to the sauna at least. There's some classes included that my mrs wants to go to like she did before we moved.

you were knackered walking over a few fields, sweating like a pig and gasping for breath :laugh:

Few fields? You mean one side of the midlands to the other. I was ok once i had a fag break though.

I'm going to take it easy. I won't go at all for the first few weeks, just psych myself up.

Just started lifting again after about 15 yrs....I don't remember it being this hard  Biceps were that sore last week I couldn't lift a brew...not sure yet wether my recovery time is longer due to not training for years,my age (still think Im 21 :whistling: ) or a combination of both.Deffo need to get some weight off so sensible eating required too, when I get into my training proper I eat well and am very conscious of my nutrition intake, but its all or nothing for me ....if I don't train I eat shite (and lots of it)hence Im a fat b*****d  Question to the "older" guys who are still training, are your recovery times similar to years ago ,or does a hard session take longer to recover from?ATB with your gym forays Dave ,perhaps we could set up a THL Classic bodybuilding show come summer when were both huge and shredded :D
