Well the weather been cool for last few days dogs ready to go was up at 6 this mornin and out the door for 7 went to check the small spots to start the young bitch but nothing home so went to the regular spot first spot enters the young dog after 45 mins of going round a martin bolted lol so followed its line and found a brand new earth about 100 yards up the forest it looked ok about 4-5 holes spread out the dog was marking so in he went about half 8 bit of going round and round I though the Martin had enters lol then got a stable mark of 2.2 so set about it ground was solid the sharp tooth come into play and a good few roots to saw threw it eased up the deeper I got broke threw on the 3 hour mark I was f****d lol dog done a good job tubes were really big done well to hold it in 1 spot he shaping up well 7 digs left for him on his first season planned quota but if I finish that before Christmas I give him a couple more

Sorry mole not looked in on this thread for ages can't remember now like but ied say around the 2 meter they al seem to be between 2 and 2.5

Not a problem Zilverhaze the reason for the question it maybe the photo but looking at the hole it just looks tight for working in. Not knit picking or anything it's just something I've noticed with some of the photos of digs that some of the guys have put up. Atb.

Yea I no what you mean mate a lot of my holes are a little on the skinny side always long enough for my spade to lay flat length ways so I can get the dirt out over the edge and width I do as skinny as I can get away with simply to save myself digging big pits on my tod hard graft doin it alone mate kills me off lol

but I agree bigger is better
