Snow And The Nv

Recommended Posts

Me and vislauk and zAndy01 went to the farm last night and just as we got there it started to snow but just the odd flake hear and there so set the zero on the nv and off we went not much about but i went into the farm yard and checked the bull field i scanned the field and nothing then went into the water tower field .

I came across one sitting and i got to with in what a thought was 30 yards(zero distance)

went for a kneeling shot and let loose but i saw the pellet fall short and the rabbit just sat so i lifted the rifle a little and the second one went over it and again it just sat there the third shot was taken prone in the snow and wet ground this time i saw the pellet just miss it .

It lifted its head and just hoped off as if to say ha ha ha im safe with him shooting .

I was like that cartoon farmer the one that used to be on the adverts on telly where he jumps up and down in the field when some one leaves the gate open lol

Its so hard to get used to this nv every thing looks farther away than it really is

as soon as this weather gets better im going to put some targets out at different ranges

and just sit and get used to it lol

The snow then came down hard so i went back to the tank and put the scorpion and the nv away and got the ultra and the t67 out and went for another wander but nothing about

so we all blanked but at least i got some shots off this time with the nv even if i did miss the bloody thing three times

Stick a cut out bunny at 30 yard , zero , use the mill dot lines on the reticule , and see where it's sits with in them , and try to rember where it sat .then you can move it out to diffrent distances , long winded I know , but it will work ,

It's worth the effort Mac , once you get the hang of it you will never look back
