low plains drifter 11,310
I remember Eric who owned Axel telling me there was no club, but it was a good way to make a storyline to produce the lurchermania vids, the shed with the badge on was just an allotment shed, good enjoyable films anyway Quote Link to post

Leeview 792
They nicked the sign off the road side, there's a place hare law They had lamping competitions, squeak produced a harelaw newsletter and there were a couple of earlier vids made before lurchermania came out.. Ahh, Axel there was a canny dog, been out with him few times...out of a good line of working deerhounds to:-) True Harelaw is between Hawick and Selkirk and the sign was acquired returning from a night time foray. "Down to Earth" was founded in 1991 by a group of lads around Ashington,Squeak joined 3yrs later after tagging along with his brother Wayne to see what all the crack was and became mesmerised by dogs and lamping. They did nt do shows they worked they're dogs so came up with a comp between themselves: where by whenever they decided to go out lamping they had to inform someone they would be out,now this person had to stay up until they got back and witnessed what had been taken and a score was given,if memory serves me right 5pts for a roe,3pts for a fox,2pts for a hare and 1pt for a rabbit, the points were carried over the season and a winner was declared. This worked well and successfully for a couple of seasons and then went pear shaped when it was pointed out that members were counting game that had not defrosted.
