IF YOU HAMMER YOUR GROUND AND DECIMATE IT AT THE BEGGINING OF A SEASON BY THE END YOULL BE TRAVELING QUADRUPLE THE DISTANCE TO GET RUNS WHICH 9/10 TIMES IS ON FOOT AND MORE TIME CONSUMING .

THEN NEXT TIME YOU MEET THEM THERE COMPLAING THAT ALL THE GROUNDS BEEN HAMMERED AND THEYVE GOTTA WALK MILES TOO GET ONE CHASE.

IVE TRIED TOO INSTALL A BIT OF GAME MANAGEMENT IN THERE LUMP O LEAD BUT THEYE JUST DONT GET IT.LESS IS MORE IN THE LONG RUN.

Same as when I'm out with the gun, if there's plenty about and ill eat it ill get it in the bag.

Won't shoot hares as I don't like eating em, would shoot a deer with the 243 (but they always give me the slip lol), but there's something special about seeing a magnificent animal out in the field and always good to let em go (atleast for me). Sometimes I just love seeming em in the first place!

Shame about the ban on the hares as I won't shoot em, no chance of out running a bullet but I imagine it's a magnificent sight to see one give a good dog a run for his money

If anything is left around here after the Summer hunters its fair game, waste of time trying to protect future sport on most of the land around here, sadly, ive a few Oasis,s that are heavily protected that i can practice honest hunting on,they are drying up though. With every generation the laws of the countryside are eroded a little more, again sadly, there are some excellent youngsters taking their first steps in the game who have better discretion than some of the older generation that often educates them.

I don't think low numbers are all down to being over worked, mxyi and that other disease ( I'm sure someone will enlighten me on what it's called) play a huge part, not to mention less land and more motor cars, then you've got an increase in predators such as foxes, hawks, badgers and stoats all which are protected in one form or other and they pick off what little is about after everything else has done its deed.
