Anybody do anything to make money in thier soare time? And if so what. Im looking to earn a little bit on the side in the evenings that i am not at work purse net making maybe or anything really anybody got any ideas

Look guys im 28 i work hard for my two daughters. When i grew up we didnt have alot of money and when i was at secondary school the school was wuite posh and went on skiing holidays every year

Dear Mr Tax man, this is how I make some cash on the side without declaring it.   TC

but he is an electrician ... by the time theyve waffled a load of shite to you about watts and ohms and wrong fuses.. drank the mandatory 20 cups of tea it really equates to 5 hours of actual work

As if the tax man would read this. Theres nothing wrong with trying to make money i cant do overtime as i get taxed at 40% plus all the ni i lose half of whatever hours that i do so i want to do something on the side

If your paying 40% tax your earning more than 32,000. and you still need a part time job?

Actually TC, that's just after income tax. Add to that NI and any other deductions and it's less still..... :thumbs:

 

It's a f***ing outrageous tax rate imo. But you still have to have a fair idea for a 'second income' to make it worth spending your extra time doing that than doing overtime at 40% tax. Most the time it'd be more economical to just pay the tax on the much better hourly wage.

sometimes i think that but at the end of the month when i see my eage slip and all the outgoings almost equal my wage i get the hump a bit Edited by mattyg1086

its actualy only 31000 now we enquired about it it changed at the start of the this tax year. It doesnt have to be purse nets that was a suggestion to get the ball rolling
