shovel leaner 7,650
Didn't see the West Ham game against Crystal Palace , only watched Gillette soccer Saturday and listened to Mersons opinion 3 goals to 1 a good result . Be interested to hear what Gnasher and Wilf have to say . Zarate seems like a good signing . Maybe things are changing with Teddy on board and Sam promising to play more expansive football . I am a guy who just follows from my armchair not a season ticket holder and I don't expect much , mid table and a bit of a cup run and I know that Forest game still hurts . But I am feeling a bit optimistic for the first time in a while , I know it probably won't last .

gnasher16 30,870
We all want our own club to do well and we are no different down at West Ham but if he stayed here 20 years and won 10 League Titles Allardyce will never be a West Ham man......he committed the cardinal sin that will never be forgiven when he humiliated the kids at Forest last year. The long ball game will continue regardless whether Carrol plays or not Allardyce doesnt know any other way and is too arrogant to learn he will just throw out some good looking statistics throughout the season that make it look like we are not quite as bad as we actually are.... he forgets that fans WATCH football they dont read it......but hey fans/traditions dont matter anymore. http://metro.co.uk/2014/06/04/why-sam-allardyce-should-give-west-hams-youngsters-a-chance-for-everyones-sake-4749266/ Edited August 24, 2014 by gnasher16

I'm an optimist , and I watched the highlights on match of the day and thought it was a good performance , ok against a manager less palace , but there were signs that we're promising . I'm actually looking forward to watching the next game and I haven't said that for a while ! Lol
